About Mirian

Teaching exists because I find joy in demystifying the vocal mechanics that once felt impossible for me to conquer. My students range from absolute beginners to advanced performers navigating complex repertoire. I hold a BFA in Musical Theatre from Michigan and collaborate with speech-language pathologists to support those recovering from vocal injury or unsafe technique.

I enjoy teaching the parts I once struggled with most. My approach remains calm and precise at all times.

Technique forms the bedrock of my practice. Sight singing and diction share the stage with rhythm and phrasing in our sessions. I guide students through genre styling, belting, and breath control while prioritizing long-term health and stage fear management.

About the lesson

Since every voice is unique, I adjust the technical plan to account for your specific anatomical reality or current fatigue level. We record performances each month to review together and analyze your progress with a 7.0 scoring metric for technical accuracy.

You will focus on refining belting technique and stabilizing articulation. I am happy to discard the prepared plan if a tangent offers more immediate benefit to your instrument. We navigate these moments with careful, measured attention to detail. Your voice dictates the pace.
