About Jade

I am a guitar tutor with over 11 years of playing experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Guitar Emphasis. My lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on your goals and helping you grow at your own pace. I specialize in fingerstyle, blues improvisation, soloing techniques, and chordal theory, giving you a strong foundation for creative expression. I teach students from Beginner to Advanced levels, including those aiming for professional mastery. My teaching style is supportive, motivating, and hands-on, ensuring you feel confident as you progress. We explore multiple genres such as rock, funk, jazz, and folk, allowing you to discover your favorite styles and broaden your musical horizons. In each lesson, I focus on technique, tone, and musicality, helping you develop a unique voice on the guitar. I emphasize both structured practice and creative exploration, making learning enjoyable and effective. You’ll gain practical skills for performing, improvising, and expressing yourself through music. I love helping students unlock their full potential while nurturing a lasting passion for the guitar. Together, we’ll tackle challenges, celebrate progress, and build your confidence. I invite you to explore your musical voice with me—one string at a time.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-focused, designed to help every guitarist grow at their own pace. I start by understanding your goals, whether you aim to perform on stage, record music, or simply enjoy playing. I emphasize slow, mindful practice, helping you develop precision and control without rushing. Tone awareness is a key part of my lessons—I guide you to recognize and shape your sound, from soft, delicate notes to powerful chords. We explore rhythm and breathing together, learning how your breath can support timing, phrasing, and musical expression. I encourage using guitar as a mindfulness tool, turning practice into a relaxing and creative experience. My lessons include improvisation, sight-reading, and music theory tailored to your level. I provide practical tips for performing confidently, whether in small gatherings or studio settings. You’ll learn techniques for all guitar styles—classical, jazz, electric, acoustic, and bass—while building a personal musical voice. I support students striving for advanced skills, guiding them through challenges and celebrating progress. Creativity and expression are at the heart of every lesson. Above all, my approach fosters passion, consistency, and confidence in every note you play.
