About Susan
I am a retired public school teacher, with experience teaching K-12 and both regular and Special Ed. I enjoy teaching a great deal. I have taught in classrooms, as well as small groups. I have also tutored individual students. If needed, I am able to teach to an IEP.

I believe that learning should be enjoyable if at all possible. I like to challenge my students to learn a new skill by breaking tasks down into smaller increments which are not as challenging as the whole skill at once. When learning IS painful, as with a Learning Disabled student, I alternate less enjoyable tasks with more rewarding activities
