About Gabriel Bello

As a professional artist I have a bachelor's in architectural engineering, a master's in sustainable design with a second master's in robotic engineering. I have developed curriculum for over 15 years around this work for k-12 public school, college level and PhD level programs around the world. My work has been published in 6 countries totaling 14 publications not including three self-published works. In total over 20 years I have exhibited in over 30 shows and 4 were in museums. I have also mentored many artists in their career while supporting them with skill development as an instructor. I also bring a range of methodology to adapt to all types of learners while exploring ways to support each student to step outside of their comfort zone and find identity and depth in their work through various methods of research and lessons.

About the lesson

I focus on project-based learning methods and create a scaffolding experience to learn an assortment of techniques. Prototyping, presenting, and developing technical skills are key to my courses. You have the option to take my set course or customize your own. Skills include: painting (acrylic, oil, watercolor) drawing (charcoal, character development, surrealism) sewing (mixed-texture techniques, leather, beading) digital fabrication (3D printing, laser cutting, wearables) You have the option to choose a topic, combine techniques or focus on becoming proficient in one skill. I have set curriculum for each medium and can adapt to a project you have outlined, I have preset or we can build our own as you might want to explore how these skills can combine.
