About Thomas
Hi, my name is Thomas Lin and I am a grade 12 high school student. I am fluent in Mandarin so I am able to teach in Mandarine as well, and a little bit of Japanese :)
I love reading books! Ranging from philosophy to classical literature, I can swallow up a book if you give me the time. Throughout the years, I have developed a great sense of critical analysis when reading as well as succinctness in writing. I was able to achieve 97 and 98 in Grade 10 and 11 English, respectively.
I moved from China to Canada when I was 9 years old, and English was my second language. However, that didn't stop me from developing my English skills through a lot of reading and external learning. I know what it feels like to learn another language, and I have found many ways where I can make that journey easier for ESL students!
I have 2 years of tutoring experience in my community and school. I have taught students ranging from 10-16 years old.
