About Helinda
Hello! I'm Helinda, a graduate of The University of Sydney, recently completed a double degree in Visual Arts (Painting) and Advanced Studies, majoring in Sociology. I have more than three years of art teaching experience in art centers and online art instructing for young children. My hobbies include painting, video editing, dancing, and singing.
I mostly work with acrylic paints but my artistic practice ranges from traditional styles to abstract artworks using various mixed mediums. I like exploring concepts from the everyday life in my own artist practice, revealing deeper and more intimate connections we have with objects and subjects that may be less noticeable.
I'm very interested to join this community to help teach art, guiding you through artmaking and creative thinking. In a classroom setting, I'm passionate about sharing skills and knowledge in a clear and approachable manner as the leader/tutor, which can benefit your confidence, learning, and create friendly networking.
I can speak fluent English and Mandarin.

- Beginner level (ages 4+): Visual techniques, skills execution, colour theory and art concepts, gaining confidence
- Intermediate-Advanced level (HSC and adults): Guidance on major artworks, essay writing, and visual analysis. Understanding correlations between artist practice and the conceptual framework
