About Everett

I am a high-achieving high school student with a strong passion for mathematics, problem solving, and teaching others. I have extensive experience with advanced math topics including calculus and higher-level STEM coursework, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that may initially seem difficult or intimidating.

My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve grades and test performance, but also to help them genuinely understand the concepts they are learning. I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging problems step by step. I also help students prepare ahead for future math classes so they can enter courses feeling confident and well prepared.

About the lesson

I’m a high-achieving high school STEM student with advanced experience in calculus, AP mathematics, and higher-level problem solving. My lessons focus on building true understanding rather than memorizing formulas, helping students gain confidence while improving their performance in class and on exams. I can also help students prepare ahead of time for upcoming math classes so they enter the school year with a strong foundation and greater confidence.

A typical lesson includes reviewing weak areas, working through guided examples together, and practicing increasingly challenging problems until the student can solve them independently. I explain difficult concepts step by step using intuitive examples, visual reasoning, and real AP-style problems. I tutor students ranging from middle school math through AP Calculus, and I adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and learning style.
