About Ronit

As a student, I always thought that teaching reinforced my understanding of content and as a tutor, I wish to ensure the same for my students. Throughout high school and college, I would spend hours teaching content to other peers because I felt as though it helped me learn and realize where I felt weak about content. This caused my love for teaching as it was exciting to see someone understand the content that they didn't understand previously. Besides that I am super social and always open to talk about anything, so I aim to make our classes a safe space!

About the lesson

I believe that every student has a different learning mechanism and a tutor should be well-equipped to adjust their teaching to the needs of the student. Typically I would begin our lesson with a review of the content taught in the previous week's class and then allow the student to ask questions about past content or new content brought up in their concurrent class at school. I would then follow their textbook to teach them the latest material ahead of their class so that way they are ahead of the content giving them more time to prepare. I would accompany this with exercises that would test their understanding of the knowledge. I would also ensure that they understand why such mechanisms are used instead of blindly listening to the rules of a system.
