About Cameron
Hello! My name is Cam. I went to the University of Waterloo for Mathematical Studies, specializing in logic, algebra, and combinatorics & optimization. Which is a really wordy synonym for "counting and arguing."
I've been tutoring folks for about 15 years in math, science, and writing. Most of my students were people at university who needed a few math credits they weren't really passionate about; first-year calculus students trying to get by computer science, or science majors with a compulsory statistics course. If math isn't for you, but you just really need to pass the course, prep for an exam, understand that one concept, or figure out some strategies that work for you, we can do that!
Conversely, if you feel like math *is* for you, but you're stuck on something, please reach out! No one should have to feel like they can't get into the field because of a bad experience or a missed lesson.
Math gets sort of a bad reputation sometimes, as this super-hard, unknowable thing. But it's not! It's in all sorts of stuff. And I don't mean that in a "math is all around you, trust me this is totally cool" way. I mean that once you connect it to something you know, it makes a lot more sense. We can do that!
