About Archie

I'm a student of Russian, Polish and French at the University of Oxford. I love to learn and I love to help other people learn too. There's no subject that doesn't interest me, as my varied A-levels of maths, biology, French, and Latin demonstrate, and I would like nothing more than to share that love of learning with you.

About the lesson

Hi! As your tutor, I'm looking forward to meeting you where you are but showing you that you're more than capable of making fast progress! For my whole life, I've watched teachers fail to understand what other students need and overcomplicate everything as a result, leaving the student feeling like they're not capable of learning. With clear, friendly communication and a quick sense for where your understanding gaps are, I'll help you realise that you're much more capable than you realise. Whether it's maths, humanities, or modern languages, this is the way to meet your goal, whether you're working for public exams at school or aiming for a place at Oxford or Cambridge.

Archie is extremely conscientious and hard-working. He is great with people, from children to teenagers to adults, and will always make a strong effort to connect with them and pitch the lesson to their strengths, whilst identifying and shoring up their weaknesses. I would have no hesitation in recommending Archie to any GCSE or pre-GCSE student for help in either French or Maths, both of which he has immense talent and knowledge in.
