About Izzy
I believe all students deserve access to high-quality education and should have a space where they feel safe to ask questions, explore their interests, and gain confidence. Especially for students studying languages, practice outside of the classroom is essential for effective learning and consolidation of lessons learnt within the classroom, something I have learnt over the course of my own schooling and degree. Understanding why students are struggling with particular concepts, rather than simply having them memorise facts, is key to my approach, and nothing is more rewarding than seeing it all fall into place as the student gains confidence in their abilities thanks to a new way of looking at the material.

I offer sessions typically between 45 and 60 minutes in length to students of all abilities from years 7-13 studying for GCSEs, A-Levels, Oxbridge admissions tests, or simply aiming to keep on top of the curriculum. I have over 5 years of online private tutoring experience and taught in a secondary school in Germany for one year. These experiences have inspired me to develop a tutoring style which is focused on the individual needs and learning style of the student, using these to inform the way I plan and approach my lessons. I have recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in German and hold an International Child Protection Certificate and Enhanced DBS check.
