About Foteini
I am a university academic specialising in Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing. I have 9 years of experience in UK higher education, including roles as a Research Associate, Lecturer and Senior Lecturer. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy / Advance HE and hold a PGCert in Higher Education. My teaching experience covers undergraduate and postgraduate mathematics, numerical methods, differential equations, scientific computing, and project supervision. I enjoy helping students move from “following procedures” to genuinely understanding why numerical methods work and how to use them confidently in practice.

My lessons are designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students who want clear, structured support in Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing. I help students understand numerical methods, convergence, stability, ODE/PDE discretisations, finite differences, and implementation in Python or MATLAB. As a former UK Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with FHEA and PGCert HE, I combine subject expertise with a student-centred teaching approach. I do not complete assessed coursework, but I help students develop the skills and confidence to work independently.
