About Serena
I am a young teacher, who enjoys working with my students. I come from a little island in the Indian Ocean called Mauritius. I am bilingual, meaning I speak English, French, Mauritian Creole and a little bit of Spanish.
I have a degree in education and I am now starting my career as an Early Years Teacher.

As a teacher, I try my best to make my lessons fun and interactive. I do different activities to keep my students engaged.
I always start with a song or a story to activate students' learning, then to acquire their learning, I do some examples together with them to make sure they understand. Then to apply their learning, I usually give a worksheet so that they can try it on their own. That will also give me a chance to assess their learning.
As a tutor, I will help and encourage my students in every way possible but also be very patient with them.
The lessons will be for ages 5-8 years old but I am always willing to teach anyone who are willing to learn.
