About Marc

I am a graduate of the University of Georgia, one of the top public universities in the country, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I currently work as a construction consultant in Atlanta and have a strong background in mathematics, science, and problem-solving.

I also have previous experience tutoring K–5 students at private childcare centers throughout metro Atlanta. Additionally, I am an NCAA collegiate baseball umpire (referee), a role that has strengthened my communication, leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.

I am also involved with Servant Leader Scholars (SLS), a nonprofit organization focused on developing and empowering young leaders through mentorship, education, and community service. My work with SLS has strengthened my passion for youth development and helping students reach their full potential.

Through my professional experience, athletics, nonprofit work, and student mentorship roles, I have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I am patient, dependable, and passionate about helping students build confidence, overcome academic challenges, and achieve their goals.

As a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Georgia with previous tutoring experience, I focus on making learning simple, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to help students better understand challenging concepts.

My lessons typically begin with reviewing the student's current material, identifying areas of difficulty, and working through examples and practice problems together. I emphasize understanding concepts rather than just memorizing answers.

I offer tutoring for elementary through college-level students, primarily in math, science, physics, and introductory engineering courses. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and improving academically.
