About Georgina

I have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class degree in Modern and Medieval Languages, with a year spent as an exchange student in Spain. Over the course of my time at university, I volunteered as a tutor and oversaw the expansion of the tutoring scheme to include four projects aimed at secondary school age students of English as a Second Language of varying abilities, with increasing confidence for their final examinations as the ultimate goal.

About the lesson

My sessions will always set out to find a middle ground between the interests of the student and their aims and goals for learning (often this is for examinations, though the same is true for independent study, as I have found this to be most effective way to maximise potential in the past.

The greatest obstacle which prevents most students from achieving their potential is their own confidence. My classes will work to tackle this in the most sensitive way possible: together we will work towards small goals to reassure and instil the student with confidence in their own capabilities. In developing strategies to tackle exam questions, it is my hope that they will feel comfortable enough to approach the exams with confidence in their ability to demonstrate their full potential to the examiner.
