About Haley
Haley is an ESL teacher of undergraduate and graduate students at a private university in New York. She enjoys getting to know her students and learning something new about the world every day! Haley comes from New England, and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and French at Gordon College. She studied in Aix-en-Provence for a semester to learn French and experience life in the South of France. She then traveled to the West Coast to complete her Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages with a concentration in Applied Linguistics at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in 2014. Haley has taught English as a Second Language for twelve years at a variety of institutions such as Metro Nashville Public Schools, Nashville State Community College, Lipscomb University, Tennessee State University, and Syracuse University. Haley loves going on outdoor adventures with her little dog, such as hiking, running, and stand-up paddleboarding. She is currently completing her Master of Business Administration.

My approach is 100% student centered. I am friendly and easy to talk to. I use pedagogy to access your prior knowledge and build on it! I have been teaching ESL to people of all ages (12-70) for the past 12 years, and currently work full-time teaching ESL to undergraduate and graduate students at a private institution.
My lessons are primarily for adult learners of English, but I can adjust my plans based on what you need! :) Thank you for your consideration.
