About Rafael
I'm Rafael, 18, based in London. I finished A-Levels this summer at London Oratory School and am starting Computer Science at the University of Exeter in September.
I've always enjoyed the subjects I'm now offering to teach. Maths and Computer Science are where I feel most at home — I'm continuing both at university and self-studying C++ alongside Python in my spare time. Economics I picked up almost by accident and ended up loving the way it forces you to reason under uncertainty.
I want to tutor because I remember exactly what it felt like to be a student a few months ago — which topics genuinely confused me, which mark scheme tricks caught me out, and what actually worked in the final push before exams.

I recently finished A-Levels at London Oratory School with A*A*A in Maths, Computer Science (OCR), and Economics (Edexcel), plus B in Further Maths. I'm starting Computer Science at Exeter this September, so the specifications, mark schemes, and exam pressure are still fresh.
Lessons are 60 minutes, one-to-one over Zoom, with a shared whiteboard and screen share. I teach:
Maths and Further Maths — GCSE and A-Level
Computer Science (OCR preferred) — GCSE and A-Level
Economics (Edexcel preferred) — GCSE and A-Level
My approach is exam-focused. We work through past papers under timed conditions, break down mark scheme language line-by-line, and drill the specific question types where students lose marks. For content gaps, I teach from first principles rather than rote memorisation — especially in Maths and CS, where understanding the underlying logic saves you in unfamiliar questions.
Suitable for students in Years 10–13 aiming for top grades, whether you're catching up before mocks, consolidating over the holidays, or pushing from an A to an A*.
