About Leslie
I have a Bachelors Degree from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Studio Arts. I am familiar in all forms of Art such as Drawing, acrylic painting, sculpture, art history, and graphic design. My best art medium is drawing and creating character art and story panels, as well as comic strips and the like. I was an artist before university, but my knowledge flourished from then on to help me hone my skills in art.

I approach each topic to any students I have by first asking their opinions on the subject matter and how they would go about creating their own artwork and we would (assuming it was a class setting) each try the approach of each student and figure out together what works and what doesn't work as well. By doing so we learn more methods then just what I intend to teach them about my own methods and how I learned from my own professors how to approach an art topic. I find giving your students some leeway and letting them think for themselves helps them and their own creativity to grow. I found in my own experience as a student that when the professor restricting our creativity to one certain method our projects would end up being less inspired and we as a class felt our creativity waiver. I have found success in both showing them the academic methods to the art and letting them show you their own creative mind to problems and solutions helps the student grown and blossom into a more secure and confident artist by the end of the class.
