About Tianyang

Hello! My name is Tianyang Wang, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Physics at UCLA with aspirations to advance to a graduate program in Computer Engineering at Princeton. My academic journey and passion for teaching have equipped me to share valuable knowledge in mathematics, physics, programming (C++, Python), writing, and artificial intelligence, particularly with ChatGPT.

As a native Mandarin speaker and fluent English speaker, I bring a unique perspective to my tutoring sessions, making them inclusive and accessible to a diverse student body. My approach to teaching combines a solid theoretical foundation with real-world applications, tailored to spark curiosity and foster a deep understanding of the subjects.

I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages questions and exploration. My goal is not only to help students achieve academic success but also to inspire confidence and enthusiasm for learning. I believe in empowering students by equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their studies and beyond.

Join me in discovering the fascinating world of STEM and unlock your potential through structured and interactive lessons designed to challenge and inspire.

About the lesson

As a UCLA physics major, I leverage a comprehensive approach in tutoring math, physics, programming (C++ and Python), writing, and artificial intelligence with a focus on ChatGPT. My teaching method combines direct instruction with inquiry-based learning, ensuring students not only receive knowledge but also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

A typical lesson begins with a brief overview of the day’s topic, followed by interactive discussions and hands-on activities that reinforce the material. For instance, in a programming class, after discussing a concept like loops, students might write simple loop-based programs to solidify their understanding. In AI lessons focusing on ChatGPT, we explore how natural language processing works and apply it in practical projects.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my emphasis on real-world applications and interdisciplinary learning, particularly in integrating concepts from physics and computer science. This approach not only deepens understanding but also sparks curiosity and enthusiasm among students.

My lessons are tailored for a range of learners, from high school students to undergraduates, particularly those pursuing STEM fields who need a solid foundation in these critical subjects. This includes students preparing for advanced studies in technology and engineering, where a robust understanding of math, science, and AI is essential.

Additionally, as a native Mandarin speaker and fluent in English, I am uniquely positioned to assist students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, enhancing their learning experience and facilitating a deeper understanding of the material.
