About Dia
I'm currently studying Data/Computer Science at UIC with a minor in mathematics. I have been tutoring for the last 5 years, including my previous experience as a College Algebra tutor at Michigan State University. In this role, I worked closely with up to 10 undergrad students per semester, worked with professors to identify student needs, track progress, and host my own weekly office hours. I create my own lesson plans and slideshows. I believe in learning by example, so I will always demo a problem or go over necessary concepts before starting a new lesson!

Hello! My name is Dia and I teach math, including subjects from elementary school math up to Honors PreCalculus. I teach with a clear, step-by-step approach that simplifies complex ideas and builds real understanding. I believe that students need to learn the reasoning behind each step so they can solve problems confidently on their own. I also believe that regular practice is important in cultivating long-term proficiency, so I do assign small amounts of homework in between sessions. I look forward to working with you!
