About Subhajit

Hi! My name is Subhajit. I am passionate about tutoring Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. My teaching style is not set in stone; I understand that everyone learns differently and will try to find a learning method that will suit the student. Next year, I will begin my pursuit of a PhD in Mathematics, and I aspire to be an undergraduate professor and researcher. In my free time, I love to play guitar, play pickup basketball, and spend time at the beach.

About the lesson

I have worked with hundreds of students at different levels of maths for several years, both privately and with a tutoring centre, and my focus is to find the unique way to explain maths topics so that your student can learn and understand most effectively. My teaching is similar to the idea behind common core maths, prioritising student understanding over memorisation, however, I strongly believe common core is not well designed for classrooms and must be customised for each student individually to be most effective. I teach Basic Mathematical operations, Arithmetic, Algebra, Pre-calculus & calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry for elementary to grad school. My typical approach is as follows - - I take classes on zoom/google meet. - My session usually is 1-2 hrs. long - I start with teaching fundamentals and basics then advance - I teach my students with a problem-solving approach - I challenge my students to ask me as many doubts they can - I also help with Assignments/homework/projects guidance
