About David

I graduated as the valedictorian at my high school and got my BS at UMD College Park for computer science. I now do tutoring full time as much as I can and continue to give back to the community I grew up in by providing tutoring. In my free time, I like to go to the gym, hang out with my wife, and play various logic games including chess, sudoku, and logic puzzles.

About the lesson

Hello! I’m an experienced STEM and academic tutor with a strong background in computer science, mathematics, and test preparation. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD) in 2024. As the founder and operator of my own tutoring business The Timely Tutors LLC, I bring six years of dedicated instructional experience and have helped hundreds of K–12 students achieve mastery, build confidence, and reach their academic goals.

I cover a wide range of subjects across grades K–12, including:

Mathematics: Elementary Math through Advanced High School Math (Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus)

Test Preparation: SAT/ACT Math, standardized testing, and subject test prep

English Language Arts: Basic ELA practice, reading comprehension, and foundational writing skills

Academic Support: K–12 general coursework, study skills, and structured learning plans

My tutoring style focuses on active, interactive conversation rather than passive lecturing. I keep students fully engaged throughout each session by guiding them through problems step-by-step and ensuring they truly understand the underlying concepts. To maximize progress, I provide structured long-term learning goals so students and parents always know what we are working toward, along with light, targeted homework for regular reinforcement between sessions.

I pride myself on being highly responsible, organized, and clear with communication. I offer flexible scheduling across all hours of the day and remain easily reachable outside of scheduled session times whenever students have quick questions or need additional support.
