About Jan
I am a student of translation studies (translation and interpreting) in French and Spanish in Innsbruck. At the age of eleven I started learning French in high school. It was then that I discovered my big passion for foreign languages and also decided to learn Spanish. I recently returned from my Erasmus stay in Lyon and was able to further improve my French there. During my school days I already gave tutoring in English and French. In addition, I volunteered to help with homework for refugee children in primary school. In Spain, I taught German as a foreign language privately and also in a language school. I also gained experience in online lessons via Skype.

I work with the language immersion learning method. This means that I mostly teach my students in the respective foreign language and only in exceptional cases I speak in their mother tongue. In this way, new words and phrases can be learned in the subconscious, while the students can get used to speaking in the foreign language. It is also important for me to adapt to the individual needs and wishes of the students.
