About Miles
As an ESL tutor with 12 years of experience, I have successfully taught around 150 High School and College students from diverse learning backgrounds. I enjoy helping learners build confidence and develop practical English skills that support both academic achievement and everyday communication.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes personalized learning, clear communication, and continuous improvement. I carefully design lessons that develop grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, and writing using practical examples, discussions, and engaging classroom activities.
I encourage students to participate actively and practice English regularly because language improves through consistent use. Every lesson includes supportive feedback and progress reviews that help learners stay motivated and recognize their achievements.
Watching students become confident English speakers and achieve higher academic performance is one of my greatest accomplishments. Besides ESL, I teach Spoken English, English Grammar, Academic English, Reading Comprehension, Writing Skills, Vocabulary Building, and Communication Skills. My goal is to make English learning enjoyable while preparing students for lifelong success.

My approach to teaching ESL focuses on helping students become confident communicators through personalized instruction and continuous encouragement. I believe that flexibility, empathy, compassion, communication, and collaboration create the best environment for successful language learning.
Every student begins with different abilities and goals, so I carefully assess their needs before designing customized lessons. Classes include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities that build both accuracy and confidence.
Flexibility allows me to modify lesson plans according to student progress and learning preferences. I use practical examples, interactive discussions, role-playing, reading materials, and writing exercises to make learning engaging and relevant.
Empathy and compassion help students feel comfortable taking risks while speaking English. I provide patient guidance, positive encouragement, and constructive feedback that motivates learners to improve step by step.
Communication remains the heart of every lesson. Students actively participate in conversations, presentations, collaborative projects, and problem-solving tasks that develop real-world language skills. Regular collaboration also helps students become independent learners who take responsibility for their progress.
Besides ESL, I also teach English Grammar, Conversational English, Business English, Academic English, Vocabulary Development, Reading Skills, Writing Skills, English Literature, Communication Skills, and Interview Preparation.
