About Rosalind
I have studied the last 11 years at Uni, gaining my Masters of Ed (Tesol) in May 2018, hold a Grad.Dip.Ed.(Sec)English specialist, B.Creative Arts, TAE40110 Training and Assessing Cert.1V (VET), during that time, a volunteer since 2004-2014 at TAFE AMEP volunteering ESL Adults one-on-one and previous work was all facets of accounts, administration, sales, training.

My methodology is community learning, using authentic everyday subjects including internet, which is task-based. My strategies are dependent on the level of competence of the student from beginner to advance. For example. Speaking: beginners and those who need help with their pronunciation, I show them how to use their mouth muscles and place their tongue to pronounce difficult letters (R, L, S). Once they have mastered that, I teach them intonation,pauses. This leads on to reading: Using strategies of breaking words into syllable chunking, pacing, pausing, starting with one syllable words (for beginners) until they are competent with five or six syllable words. At the same time I use mnemonics for spelling
for example "i before "e" except after "c"; and strategies for homophones in everyday context,. I could go on as English is a very complex system if you wanted a Master's paper. As for Writing, again depending on their level of competence and what they want to learn for a specific reason, i.e. IELTS, Tests, Workplace, Emailing, letters, blogs, poetry, essays, etc. In short, I teach and tutor to their needs.

Details
In Kingaroy the petrol is $1.68litre. Therefore I prefer (if possible they come to my home). Otherwise I will have to charge per kilo.
I will not charge any different rate for beginners or advance to uni students as the time is the same. However, I do not want people booking and cancelling. There has to be a serious commitment to learning.
As my qualification include a Masters of Education Tesol, I would expect a higher fee. Having said that, if the client is unemployed or a refugee ( and it is proven) I will charge a basic fee.
I will offer a discount rate of packs of lessons and if two or more people join at the same time IF they are at the same level of learning.
