I have taught overseas twice, earned my TESOL/TEFEL certifications from Oxford Seminars, earned a Bachelors with a minor in history. In addition to that I have worked with refugees trying to learn professional English as well as have cultural competency. Understanding informal language and being able to code switch is an invaluable skill set to have. I feel that together we will be able to achieve your goals.

I feel that teaching can and should happen in a setting that feels structured but organic. Flexibility is important and helps with learning and retaining information so one day we may have a conversation about a poem or book, another breaking down language and understanding roots as well as grammar. I have a wide range of experience across most age levels which has afforded me different insights into how language is learned and retained. we all have goals and deadlines lets meet where you are at and get you where you need to be.
