About Ollie

I am a bilingual English teacher with a recognized TEFL qualification and a degree in London where I have lived for over 20 years. I have been teaching English since 2006 to students of various language levels, ages and nationalities and I have also managed an online English school in London for about 5 years. I specialize in preparation for IELTS and Cambridge certificates, in academic, legal and business translations ITA / ENG - ENG / ITA. My experience allows me to adequately prepare students of all levels for entry to various academic institutions and I can also help with preparation for university theses in English in various subjects. I offer single lessons, training / repetitions for school / work environment to individuals and groups. I also offer guided conversation classes to improve inference and pronunciation.

About the lesson

I am an extremely professional teacher, prepared, very patient, always available, practical, enthusiastic and above all a skilled motivator. Each student has different learning qualities and speeds and it is precisely on the basis of this principle that my lessons are tailored to facilitate an appropriate learning of the language. STUDENT NEEDS FIRST OF ALL: 1) Beginner - learning grammar and vocabulary. 2) Intermediate - learning how to make use, in an effective way, of the linguistic baggage already acquired but still quite limited, in order to progress to a higher level. Learning of numbers, verbs, use of modes and tenses. 3) Advanced - exploration of the different meanings and uses of language, pronunciation, intonation, colloquial expressions, inference on what one reads or writes. My English teaching methods are varied and flexible according to the language level of the student, as my experience and academic-professional competence allows me to draw from a wide range of educational criteria: • Direct Approach • Grammar Translation • Audio-Lingual • Community Language Learning (CLL) • The Silent Way • The Communicative Approach • Total Physical Response (TPR) • Natural Approach • Eclectic Approach • Task Based Learning • Text Based • Guided Discovery • Presentation, Practice, Production (PPP) • Teach-Test-Teach
