About Anastasia

Hello, my name is Anastasia and I am from the United Kingdom. I have always loved learning languages and I decided to become an English teacher because it is such a rewarding job and it allows me to meet new people from all over the world. As well as having a TEFL certification, I also hold a BA degree in French and Spanish as well as an MA in Translation. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors either hiking or playing tennis, and I also like cooking and reading books. I offer online classes to adults of all abilities, and I look forward to meeting you soon and helping you to learn English!

In addition to my TEFL certificate, I also have six years of teaching experience, which has involved giving both in-person and online classes. In the past, I have worked with students of all abilities and ages, starting from as young as two years old all the way up to adult learners. In addition to teaching various English skills such as speaking, writing, grammar and vocabulary, I have also prepared students for the Cambridge First and Advanced certificate exams.

I believe that every student is different and that learning English should be something that is enjoyable. So because of this, I like to tailor my classes to each individual person so that they fit with their needs and interests. Whether you want to improve your conversation and writing skills or gain more knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, my classes can be adapted to suit your needs.

About the lesson

I offer a variety of online English classes for adults who wish to improve their language skills:

*English conversation - These classes are suitable for students who are looking to improve their speaking skills and become more fluent. Students will be given the opportunity to practise speaking with a native teacher in a more informal setting. Although I prepare topics to discuss for each class, I encourage my students to lead the conversation and share something interesting that they might have recently come across, for example, a film or an article. All materials are provided and students will also have the option of receiving homework after every class.

*General English - These classes are suitable for students who want a more structured way of practising different English skills. Lessons will be tailored to the student’s needs and will focus on the skills they want to improve the most, such as grammar, speaking, vocabulary, and writing etc. All materials are provided and students will also have the option of receiving homework after every class.

*Cambridge English Exam Preparation - These classes are suitable for students who want to prepare for the Cambridge FCE and CAE Certificate, and they cover all four parts of the examination. All materials are provided and I also give students practice activities every week as homework, so that they receive regular feedback on their progress.

*Business English - These classes are suitable for students who wish to practise their English skills for the world of work. As well as covering a variety of business topics, these classes are also great for job seekers who wish to improve their CV and cover letter writing skills, and practise interviews. All materials are provided and students will also have the option of receiving homework after every class.
