By the end of A1 lesson, you will be able to:
1. Listening (Hörverstehen)
- Understand basic greetings and farewells (Hallo, Tschüss, Guten Morgen).
- Recognize numbers, prices, dates, and times when spoken slowly.
- Follow simple instructions or directions (z. B. „Gehen Sie geradeaus, dann links“).
- Understand basic questions about personal information (name, age, nationality, family).
- Identify familiar words and phrases in announcements or short conversations.
2. Speaking (Sprechen)
- Introduce yourself and others (Name, Alter, Beruf, Herkunft).
- Ask and answer simple questions:
- Where someone lives
- What someone does (job, school)
- Hobbies and likes/dislikes
- Use basic greetings and polite expressions (Bitte, Danke, Entschuldigung).
- Make simple requests or ask for help (e.g., im Restaurant, im Geschäft).
- Talk about daily routine using simple present tense (Präsens).
3. Reading (Lesen)
- Read and understand short, simple texts:
- Signs, notices, menus, timetables
- Simple emails or postcards
- Recognize familiar words and phrases in everyday contexts.
- Understand basic information in advertisements or instructions.
4. Writing (Schreiben)
- Fill out simple forms (name, address, birth date, nationality).
- Write short messages or postcards:
- „Ich bin in Berlin. Das Wetter ist schön.“
- Write simple sentences about yourself, your family, or your daily routine.
- Use basic punctuation and capitalization rules correctly.
5. Grammar (Grammatik)
- Present tense of regular verbs (spielen, machen, wohnen)
- Present tense of common irregular verbs (sein, haben, gehen, kommen)
- Personal pronouns (ich, du, er, sie, wir…)
- Definite and indefinite articles (der, die, das / ein, eine)
- Negation with nicht and kein
- Basic sentence structure (Subject – Verb – Object)
- Simple questions (ja/nein and W-Fragen: wer, was, wo, wann, wie, warum)
- Numbers, dates, days of the week, months, time expressions
6. Vocabulary (Wortschatz)
- Greetings and farewells
- Numbers (0–100+)
- Days, months, seasons, time expressions
- Family members, occupations, countries, nationalities
- Everyday objects (food, clothing, furniture)
- Places in the city, directions, transport
- Common verbs for daily activities (essen, trinken, schlafen, arbeiten, lernen)
