About Dorian

My name is Dorian (concealed information) I have been a music producer and touring DJ based out of Chicago for the last 10 years. I play piano and run a professional studio out of Chicago at Fort Knox Studios! I specialize in music production and DJ performance.

About the lesson

For Music Production Lessons as well as DJ Lessons I will give you a methodical process in order to learn how to work your way around a production program or a set of DJ equipment. You will learn small skills and processes that you can repeat and combine in order to develop the larger scope of comprehension. My goal is to help you express yourself musically in both areas, and in order to express yourself you must become familiar with the tools in front of you! For Music Production and DJ'ing I use a similar style and format when teaching and the two subjects go hand in hand with anyone learning to break into the modern music scene!

Perfect! So far I have taken 2 lessons with Dorian. The first was an introduction to production using Ableton and he was able to simplify some very intimidating software. The next lesson Dorian agreed to travel to my home so we could work together on my DJ setup. We worked on spicing up my sets a bit. I was a quality lesson and I appreciate the guidance and feedback. I intend to continue working with Dorian on both DJ lessons and production.

The "free lesson" is a consultation to figure out where you are during our first lesson and becomes a $50 discount on the first 2 hour lesson. First lesson is normally $200 but will be $150. After the first lesson it returns to normal rate.
