I am an artist, a muralist, and an art teacher. I love to be creative always. I am a sister, a daughter, a mom of two grown-up kids, and a grandmother of 5 adorable grandkids. I love to teach.

My teaching experience (27 years of subbing long-term Art, 13 years running my own Art Studio, & 2 years teaching Art in Schools) has told me that I work at my best when I am in small groups. Art Content is a big part of that need to be taught in small groups. Each student matters greatly to me and every student truly needs help "one on one" in any art room situation. I have always found that is not possible with time constraints in public schools and so many students get left in the dust. One hour of art a week leaves me with a mere 45 seconds of personal contact per student in each hour. Whereas in my Art Studio, I was often able to help each and every student as often as needed due to the manner in which I scheduled the classes, and in the time limit I allowed for mastery of skills and completion of projects. I teach the scope and sequence of developmental NAEA standardized art skills that must be mastered by the end of each grade level. I teach what the art schools are looking for when it comes to presenting a portfolio if you are wanting to go to Art School. I will work with you diligently to get you to that level where you feel confident in your skills and presentation.
