About Arun
I graduated from Lexington High School in June of 2022 and am currently attending the University of Michigan with an expected graduation in April 2026. During High School, I received 4 and 5 scores on most AP exams including AP Physics C (E&M and Mechanics), BC Calculus, AP US History, AP Chemistry, AP Economics (Micro and Macro), and AP Statistics. I received a 1520 score on the SAT exam (720 in reading, and 800 in math). I am currently a finance major with a possible minor in mathematics, looking to specialize in public markets and buy-side investment.
Previous Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring and teaching for a significant portion of my time in high school and college. As I participated in debate in high school I tutored my novice mentees on many debate topics from hegemonic peace theory to moral philosophy. A significant number of my mentees have achieved strong placements at tournaments and won speaker awards at tournaments. I was part of the tutoring non-profits: Youth Passion Project, X-Learn, and EKAM. In each of these nonprofits, I had a leadership role and helped tutors work with students on a peer-to-peer tutoring level. During my senior year summer, I tutored in the American Education and Tutoring Organization where I tutored two students English over the time frame of two months. Those two students have since passed their public school ELA exam, and are now able to attend.

Teaching Methodology: I've always believed the best learning comes from hands-on, and action-based experiences. I hope to incorporate these aspects within online and in-person environments through Kahoot quizzes, projects, interactive software, and attentive listening to the learning process of each child. As I have had experiences in most teaching contexts I am confident that I will be able to attend to the educational needs of your child.
