About Cecilie
I am a 22-year-old girl who is studying Negot at SDU. There has always been a great deal of interest in the English subject and the areas which English touches; this can be anything within the written language, English translation, or the cultures that have English as a mother tongue (UK and US). My primary focus will be on written and oral communication where I will be able to use my skills in assignment writing, punctuation, and general knowledge - for example about phrases and how they are translated as well as connectors and tips on how an assignment can be elevated by using professional language. This is something I really want to help with and give students a good experience of the English language and the fact that it contains so much more than just school-related topics. We use and speak English in many aspects today, and it is important to be able to master the language in our globalized world.

As a teacher, I focus on meeting the student at the level they are at where it then becomes possible to be able to organize a teaching plan that suits the individual. Here it is important that the student explains exactly what challenges they face in the English subject. Based on this, I know what fields that require a special focus and how many teaching sessions are needed to give the student a greater confidence in the subject and give the student tools for solving similar issues in the future. It is important to be proactive and patient when teaching, and it also gives the student a reassuring feeling when there is a solution to the challenge. Here, it is crucial to emphasize the fact that there is opportunities for extra teaching sessions in addition to the sessions that have been organized in the beginning if the student still faces challenges. It is my most important task to ensure that the student finds a solution to the challenge and becomes strong and confident in the subject.
The teaching will primarily be for middle school and high school students.
