About Zaheen
Hi, my name is Zaheen! I am a rising sophomore at Poolesville High School, where I'm in the Science Math Computer Science program. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports such as basketball, volleyball, cricket, and ping pong. I have been in the Student Government Association for 5+ years, I was in Montgomery County Junior Council for 2 years, and I was the National Junior Honor Society Vice President. Through my involvement in student advocacy, I have developed a range of valuable skills and qualities that have benefited me in many ways. One of the most significant skills I have developed is leadership. I have a strong passion for teaching and helping others. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and seeing my students succeed. I am patient and understanding, and I work hard to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where my students feel comfortable.

As a tutor, I will be teaching elementary and middle schoolers. I will make sure to prioritize creating an engaging and personalized learning experience for my students. I will make sure to study the curriculum and have a schedule planned so that the student is always ahead of the school curriculum and ready. I will make sure to also check for understanding by creating a quiz every week to pinpoint his strengths and weaknesses. Something that sets me apart as a tutor is that I already have 2+ years of experience on behalf of tutoring for NEST4US.
