About Ali
I am a Civil & Structural Engineer with a **Master of Engineering from the American University of Beirut** and a **Bachelor’s degree from Beirut Arab University**. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in advanced structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and research into materials failure and dam engineering. As a **Graduate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE)**, I bring internationally recognised professional credibility to my work.
Professionally, I have held roles as a **Tendering Specialist at Khatib & Alami**, a **Planning Engineer at Consolidated Contractors Company (Qatar)**, and the **Founder & Creative Director of LOOMA**, where I combined technical expertise with entrepreneurial vision. These experiences have given me a unique perspective that bridges rigorous academic theory with practical, real-world engineering applications.
Beyond industry practice, I am passionate about **teaching and mentoring**. My lessons are designed to make complex engineering concepts clear, practical, and engaging. I teach a wide range of topics including **mechanics of materials, structural analysis, finite element modelling, materials failure, dam engineering, and structural dynamics**. Each session is carefully structured to balance theory with real-world applications, ensuring students not only understand the subject but also know how to apply it in practice.
