About Tammy

I see it as my personal mission to help change the negative connotations people have with math. To me, math is beautiful, artistic, and even fun. It really shouldn't feel like such a chore!

In the public classroom, I spent a year teaching Elementary Math Specials, so I know the foundational skills and have manipulatives to help reinforce those prerequisite skills.

I then spent 8 years teaching high school math. I've taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Precalculus, each to various skill levels, including (up through Geometry) resource and colab classes for those with special needs.

About the lesson

I've taught it all -- all ages, all skill levels, nearly all the courses. I'm Special Education certified and have an overwhelming library of resources to help all students. I really enjoy it, so my students tend to too!

I'm a creative person, speaking the language of "the math people". Let me help translate math into terms you'll understand!
