About Ana
My name is Jovitta, though I get called by my middle name 'Ana' (just think FROZEN), and I have a passion for writing, and most importantly helping others. I'm 18, and am attending my last year of college.
I hope to stir confidence in my students both personally and academically. I look forward to creating friendships through future lessons, because it is far more tan a teacher-student relationship for me!

The way in which I approach students is by first and foremost asking them what they think is their biggest weakness when it comes to their writing or assignments. Or perhaps what about their class worries them. From there I set targets and goals for the both of us to work through together.
Targets and goals may look like (they differ depending on the student and their weaknesses and strengths):
- Try to do a page of note-taking each lesson
- At the end of the English lessons, write down questions concerning the lessons that we can both go through together
- Try to incorporate a new word every essay.. etc
Little things like this, I believe, makes students more engaged in lessons and gives them something to talk about in the tutoring lessons.
A lot of the time students approach me embarrassed about needing help or to admit that they’re behind on their school work. But I approach students with a positive manner from the get-go. There is no harsh words or put-downs. I try to be as relatable to the students as I can, and making them aware that I am there for them; I am there to help them. And this means going at their own pace, so there is no need for them to feel as though they’re a slow learner - I don’t believe in that.
I am here to help students learn and improve oral and written skills that are imperative to the overall education.
