About Maryam
Hi, I’m Maryam, a Biomedical Engineering graduate, based in Milton, Ontario with a strong background in Mathematics, Science, Biology, and STEM subjects. I’m passionate about helping students understand challenging concepts in a simple, clear, and practical way. I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, patience, and consistent practice. I tailor my lessons to each student’s level, learning style, and academic goals, whether they need help catching up, preparing for exams, completing assignments, or building stronger foundations. My engineering education has developed my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I bring into every lesson.

My teaching approach is patient, practical, and tailored to each student. As a Biomedical Engineering graduate, I understand that STEM subjects can feel overwhelming when concepts are taught too quickly or without enough explanation. My goal is to make difficult topics simple, clear, and easier to remember.
I begin each lesson by understanding the student's current level, identifying areas they find challenging, and setting a clear goal for the session. I then explain the concept step-by-step using simple language, examples, diagrams, and real-life applications. After explaining, I guide the student through practice questions and encourage them to solve problems independently while providing support whenever needed.
A typical lesson includes a short review of previous material, introduction of the new concept, guided examples, practice exercises, and a quick recap at the end. I also adapt the pace and difficulty according to the student's needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
What sets me apart is my combination of an engineering background, patience, and focus on genuine understanding rather than memorization. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because that is an important part of learning.
My lessons are suitable for school students, beginners, and students who need extra support with Mathematics, Science, Biology, and other STEM-related subjects. I can also support students who want to strengthen their problem-solving and analytical skills.
