About Irem
My name is Irem, and I am a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher, graphic designer, and singer/dj. I live in Bali but I am originally from Istanbul, Turkey! I am in the progress of switching my business from being on the screen using my brain all the time to be more present with my body and work on human as a whole instead of only focusing on mind.

I specialize in beginner to mid-level yoga classes, primarily focusing on Hatha yoga, also able to give Yin yoga, and restorative yoga classes. In my classes, I emphasize somatic awareness, raise awareness of what asanas are good for and how they affect them by giving anatomical references, and help participants focus on their bodies and improve their general health with breathing. In this way, instead of offering movement-only classes, I offer yoga sessions that strengthen the participants’ relationship with their bodies.

Details
My yoga classes range from a minimum of 30 minutes to a maximum of 90 minutes. Each session is tailored to the student’s body, physical needs, and the intention they wish to cultivate through the practice. The classes incorporate a blend of strength, flexibility, balance, and somatic awareness.
