About Fatimah omodasola
Hello everyone!
My name is Mrs. Fatimah Omodasola Animashaun, and I am your Yoruba language tutor. I am passionate about teaching the Yoruba language and helping people learn it in a simple and enjoyable way.
In this course, I will teach you how to:
- Speak Yoruba confidently.
- Read and write Yoruba correctly.
- Pronounce Yoruba words with the right tone marks.
- Use everyday greetings and conversations.
- Learn Yoruba culture, customs, and simple proverbs.

Introduction to Yoruba Language
Good day, everyone!
My name is Mrs. Fatimah Omodasola Animashaun, and I am your Yoruba language tutor.
Yoruba is one of the major languages spoken in Nigeria. It is a rich language with beautiful greetings, proverbs, songs, and traditions. Learning Yoruba will help you communicate better with people, understand our culture, and appreciate our heritage.
As your tutor, I will teach you to:
- Speak Yoruba confidently.
- Read and write Yoruba correctly.
- Pronounce Yoruba words with the right tone marks.
- Learn common greetings and everyday conversations.
- Understand Yoruba culture, proverbs, and simple stories.
My lessons will be simple, practical, and enjoyable. We will learn through songs, games, conversations, role-play, and classroom activities so that everyone can participate.
Whether you already know a little Yoruba or you are just starting, I will guide you step by step until you become confident in speaking and understanding the language.
Let's begin with a simple greeting:
Teacher: Ẹ káàárọ̀! (Good morning.)
Students: Ẹ káàárọ̀!
Teacher: Báwo ni? (How are you?)
Students: Mo wà dáadáa. (I am fine.)
By the end of our lessons, you will be able to greet people politely, introduce yourself, hold simple conversations, and read and write basic Yoruba.
