About Flora
As a second year quantitative finance student, I have taken many rigorous math courses and understand the struggle of not understanding math concepts. Halfway through high school, I began working at a math academy as a TA, creating worksheets and homework for students who wanted to further their knowledge. I then became the head TA and taught classes with difficulty levels ranging from elementary school to SAT/ACT prep. The summer after my freshman year, I worked as a teacher at a STEM- focused summer camp, teaching courses like investing and financial literacy.

From my years of teaching and tutoring experience, I have learned various methods and approaches to tutoring. Every student learns differently and should have a studying method that works for them. Repetition is key for mathematics, but many students have gaps in their knowledge that hinders their progress. It is important to fill these gaps and make students feel confident in their abilities.
