About Sofia
Art has always been more than a passion for me—it’s a way to connect, inspire, and grow alongside others. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an Illinois Professional Educator License, I have four years of experience teaching art in public schools, working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. My teaching approach is rooted in creativity, exploration, and skill-building, tailored to support artists of all levels.
Beyond the classroom, I have exhibited my work in several Chicago-based galleries, including the Glenview Arts Festival, Rostrum 312 Pop-Up Gallery, and Woman Made Gallery. My background in fine arts history, along with my expertise in various artistic methods, allows me to help students develop both their technical skills and creative confidence. My friends describe me as compassionate and collaborative, and I bring that same energy into my teaching.
