RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
I have a Master’s degree in Research Methods and have taught this subject at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including PhD students and professional researchers. I have worked on academic projects at UK universities and as a policy researcher for local government and the UK Department for Education. In these jobs I have used quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate topics related to education, healthcare, mental health, forensic and clinical psychology.

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
I have worked in the NHS and in private mental healthcare, including in clinical and forensic psychology. I have worked closely with people diagnosed with psychosis, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, ASD and learning disabilities. I have conducted research in clinical and non-clinical settings, and via online platforms. I’ve conducted semi-structured interviews, facilitated focus groups, designed and collected surveys, recruited research participants, completed ethics board applications and worked across various multi-disciplinary teams.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at university in the UK, including lectures, seminar groups and computer labs. I’ve worked in private schools and with more than 200 private students over the last 11 years. I often work with adult learners, PhD candidates and postgraduate students on specific research projects. This involves a mix of teaching, advice and academic support.
I have also worked for training agencies to deliver professional training to groups of adult learners. I have also worked directly with businesses and organizations as a training consultant, often delivering training in Excel, SPSS or other software.
