About Ibrahim
I will be patient, calm and interested in what the student is conveying to me. I will also be demanding and supportive of the student's efforts. Mistakes are made and we learn from them. If one approach does not work, then another is tried.

I have taught math to elementary, middle, and high school students as well as economics and econometrics to undergraduate and graduate students. Last year and this year, I taught two of my home-schooled grandchildren their math and science classes. One of them had difficulties in math and I believe that he is past that at this point.
I have a varied background in my studies and life experience which I believe is an asset when teaching remedial math.
I like to bring to the class ideas from mathematics which would intrigue the students as they use their arithmetic skills. If the student is not motivated, I try to identify the cause and if it is gaps in their knowledge which frustrate them, then I will remedy that if possible. Of course, there is no one answer to all problems and one teacher is not likely to be able to remedy all.
