I am a chemical engineer by education. While I was in college, I helped tutor many students in topics related to chemical engineering. What I tutored students in was a combination of math and chemistry. I have helped students understand many different math and chemistry topics.

I like to help students understand the basics of the problem by guiding them through examples. The individual would then work through other ones on their own. I will be there to help them if they get stuck. The goal is to have them do increasingly difficult problems by themselves.
