I am a theater maker by profession, but I have a BA in Mathematics and Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins. I have been tutoring Calculus and SAT prep for a few years, and my students have boosted their grades by a full letter and gone onto great colleges.

I have traditionally tutored high school students, but I am open to working with younger students as well. I like to go over types of problems with my students and then allow them to attempt a similar problem without my help. I do not believe one can learn math simply by watching, one needs to experience the problem for themselves.

Fees may be negotiated depending on level of mathematics, distance of travel, and length of lesson. For example, a lesson in basic algebra will be cheaper than a lesson in calculus.
