About Sarah
Hi There!
My name is Sarah. I am 22 years old and a recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Global Development. I am Canadian, and English is my first language. I have casual experience teaching and assisting ESL classes in Thailand and Cambodia and have tutored high school subjects. I have a limited knowledge of Mandarin, which may be useful for any Mandarin-speaking ESL students.
I can work with all ages, and as the eldest of three children, I have experience working with elementary and middle school students. I have also assisted ESL students my age or older in casual practice environments while they helped me practice Mandarin.
Overall, tutoring sessions with me will be fun, supportive, and focused entirely on your needs and interests as an ESL student.

Tutoring with me is unique due to my warm, supportive, and friendly attitude. I am an excellent practice partner for anyone who is shy or lacks confidence in their English speaking skills.
My lessons are intended for beginner to intermediate English speakers who would like assistance with existing English course homework or would benefit from basic English lessons in a presentation style followed by conversational practice.
These are tutoring sessions rather than English classes, so the emphasis will be on assistance and practice rather than formal instruction.
As a second language student myself, I recognize the difficulty and apprehension that can come with learning a new language. Therefore, my sessions will be spent on creating a comfortable environment for practicing and strengthening existing skills, teaching basic knowledge, and assisting with coursework and questions.
