About Ziyan (Zi)
Ms. Zi (Violet) holds a Master of Social Work from the University of South Australia and a Master of Science in Child and Family Psychology from the University of East Anglia.
With around seven years of experience in both illustration and teaching, Ms. Lim is passionate about nurturing creativity and making art learning fun, engaging, and creative for children. She encourages students to express themselves freely and creatively through art and supports their growth with thoughtfully prepared, ready-to-print art and design practice workbooks or handouts.
In addition to her work as a tutor, Ms. Lim is an active contributor to the field of children’s literature. She writes and illustrates children’s picture books, art and design workbooks, educational game books, poems, and other creative resources designed to inspire and entertain young readers. She has also collaborated with authors on various creative children book projects. Passionate about children literature, she is committed to inspire learners to illustrate their own stories, poems, create their own educational games, etc.

Creative Art and Design Class For Beginners
This class is specially designed for beginners aged 7 and above, offering a fun, engaging, and enriching introduction to the world of art and self-expression.
Key Features:
Available as private (1-on-1) or small group (2 to 4 students) sessions.
Interactive and engaging lessons using educational videos, stories, poems, books, and more.
Students will explore a variety of artistic styles, including paper collage art, Zentangle Art, Folk Art, Mosaic Art, Pop Art, and others.
Hands-on art and design activities include drawing lines, patterns, and shapes using pencils or pens, coloring and painting with acrylic markers or coloured pencils.
Class Schedule:
Choose between 4 classes per month (1 class/week) or 2 classes per month (1 class/fortnight), depending on your availability.
Each class runs for approximately 45 minutes or 60 minutes.
The first free 45-minutes free trial lesson provides an opportunity to discuss learner's interests, needs and goals, and to tailor the lesson focus accordingly.
Materials and Support:
Art materials can be prepared and shipped by the teacher upon request before the start of the class. Or, the students can purchase own art materials at any stationery or art and craft shops.
Flexibility and Support:
Replacement classes can be arranged in case of illness or emergencies affecting either the teacher or the student.
For planned holidays, please notify in advance—classes can be cancelled and refunds arranged accordingly.
