About Martin
I'm Martin, a Royal College of Art graduate and Head of Art at a British international school. Over 20 years, I've helped students discover what they're truly capable of creating—from nervous GCSE candidates to confident university applicants. I've been a guest lecturer at both Royal College of Art and University of the Arts London, a Course Leader teaching to Master's level, and a university admissions tutor reviewing portfolios and interviewing candidates. This means I know exactly what art schools look for and how to prepare students for competitive applications. I've been delivering online lessons worldwide for over a decade, using digital tools, shared sketchbooks, and clear visual feedback to help students make real progress whether they're in London or Shanghai. My approach combines high standards with genuine enthusiasm for each student's creative development—I'll push you to strengthen your work, but I won't try to make you create like everyone else. Whether you're aiming for specific grades or figuring out your creative direction, I'm here to give you honest feedback, proven strategies, and the confidence to produce work you're proud of.
