About Colette

I have been tutoring and teaching English for nearly three years now. I have worked with people from around the world, who came from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. I'm a TESOL certified instructor, BA holder in English Literature and Sociology and currently undertaking a masters. I've worked in language academies, refugee camps, top businesses and given private lessons. I recently left Greece where as I worked as a Field Coordinator for the charity RefugeeEd. This charity tries to improve the quality of education for refugees in Greece, hence I've also done teacher training and some consulting for projects too. I have experience teaching most of the standard language exams, but I can also help with conversational, business or travel English. Whatever your needs.

About the lesson

My classes are fun and inspiring. I always want my students feeling enthusiastic about the language and confident that they can use it! I use a variety of resources and hate sticking to the standard textbook (unless you want to!). I teach with things found in the real world such as newspaper articles, music, films, adverts, magazines, radio etc. The list goes on. Expect my classes to get you talking, I want to hear from you. I want to learn about what fascinates you and then design my classes around your interests. Expect quality, professional and bespoke classes with me. Please note, the first class is not free (I cannot change the settings on this site). I am happy to give you a trial lesson for 30 minutes which will be at a reduced rate.
